Preservice Teachers’ Wellbeing in Mathematics Education

چکیده

The study investigated first-year preservice teachers’ affective, conative, cognitive, social, and physical wellbeing in a mathematics education subject at regional university Far North Queensland. Data collected included pre post surveys with forty-nine teachers, interviews teachers teacher educators. evaluated belief statements about their before after six-week module. Before the module, suggested significant challenges. survey an increased confidence mathematics. Four themes that emerged from interview data analysis need to: address emerging unbalanced wellbeing; overlapping challenges for both educators negatively affect learning; understand lack of is detrimental to balance; develop guiding frameworks paper discusses possible implications practice teaching learning other areas.
